Updates...

Lawson is playing on the floor doing some cute things so I thought I'd update some of the things he can do. Tomorrow is his 2nd birthday and I can't believe it. As cliche as it sounds, it feels like he's been with us forever. Two years really isn't that long ago. These are some things I wanted to remember that he has or has been doing before he turned 2. He has all of his 2-year molars and his eye teeth. He is in the 90th-95th percentile for both height and weight. He can count to 10 on his own with a tiny bit of help. He knows all his basic colors and a few shapes (circle, star, square, and octagon!). He knows people's names (aunts, uncles, grandparents, his cousin, and a few friends). He knows his animals. He can sing the last part of the BYU fight song("ra ra ra ra ra, go cougars"). He can speak in 2-3 word sentences. He does some funny and clever things. I made some fish out of colored paper with eyes and smiles and put paperclips on them and then made a little fishing pole with a magnet. Just now he was turning all the fish over (face down) and telling them "night night." He loves giving fives to everyone including his unborn sister! He loves watching "cues cues" (Blues Clues) and sings the mail song. He knows all his body parts including elbows, ankles, eyebrows, eyelashes, and forehead. There's tons of other things but can't think of them off the top of my head.

For his birthday, we are going to have a little family party tomorrow and then on Thanksgiving we're going to have another little party with Tyson's family. I think he's still too young to appreciate a friend party. :) Probably next year.

We're glad Lawson is a part of our family and we've learned so much having him!
