This year we stayed home for Christmas for the first time in our married life. It was sad but exciting to start our own traditions. We went to Waxahachie where we moved from 6 months ago for their Ward Christmas party and saw Santa!
Right before Christmas (and for our anniversary) we decided to take the kids to San Antonio to see the Riverwalk with the lights. It was so much fun!!
Tyson with the kids on the Riverwalk. The lights were pretty cool and it felt magical to be by the water with the glowing trees.
Kayla and Lawson in front of the Alamo
There was a cool "Texas" themed tree in front of the Alamo.
During Christmas time we had some friends over and decorated sugar cookies
Two sisters!
On Christmas Eve morning we took the Thompson tradition and had a big pancake breakfast.
Waiting to eat breakfast
Another Thompson tradition was getting Christmas jammies from The Elves on Christmas Eve
Christmas morning
Grandma Lynnie got Makayla a princess dress
Grandpa Oblad got Porty Pie this cute froggie chair!
With Christmas being on a Sunday, we got ready for church after opening presents.
Myra & Momma.
She obviously doesn't like having her picture taken
Lawson got a new bike for Christmas from Santa. We took it for a spin.
We came across this dog that we were supposed to "Beware of" :)
Sweet Myra
Grandma Lynnie made blankets for all the kids! They LOVE them and sleep with them everynight!
Tim (Tyson's brother) came with his wife and kids for the BYU bowl game and for New Years.
Porter and JJ are just about 3 weeks apart in age.
They were cute to watch as they played.
We had such a fun holiday! We missed extended family but were excited to start our own traditions and do our own thing this year.
