On Our Way Home!

We left on Tuesday, June 2nd to come home. We are taking it easy and only driving 4-6 hours a day. It's a lot easier on the kids, which makes it better for us!
We stayed our first night in Corpus Christi, TX. Tyson served there part of his mission. We met up with a family he met and went to dinner with them. He hadn't seen them for about 6 years so it was fun for them to catch up. The kids are so cute. They have a 3 year old daughter who Lawson clicked with right away.

He's our little lover-boy!

We went and saw the Lexington. It was used during WWII. They have a museum inside but we just went up to it and took pictures.

Walking back from seeing the Lex.

We drove through Lubbock, TX. They have a mini temple there.

They have Texas Tech there so of course we had to stop by the football field.

We stayed in Amarillo, TX another night and went to the Big Texan. It's home of the 72 oz. steak. If you eat it, you get it for free. Unfortunately, we did not partake of the massive piece of meat. We did, however, get 2 humongous pieces of delicious cake-- carrot and chocolate. It took a couple of days for us to devour. Soooooo good!
We are now in Denver. I have family who lives here so we have been visiting with them for a couple of days. It's been fun to catch up and spend time with them. My cousin Kelly, is not here though and I'm really bummed because she just had her second baby girl just 3 weeks before Makayla was born and we haven't seen her yet. Hopefully we can get together soon, Kelly! Your turn to come to Provo.
We only have 8 hours left to travel and I think we're getting antsy to get home. We've been gone about 6 weeks so it will be nice to unpack and get settled back down and enjoy the rest of our summer. We have 7 Peaks memberships this summer so we'll be keeping ourselves busy!
